GTA 6 editions, price and pre-order bonus explained

GTA VI comes out on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here's everything Rockstar has confirmed about what to buy and what you get.

Price

• Standard Edition: $79.99 in the US
• Ultimate Edition: $99.99 in the US
• Prices in other countries vary. Check the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store where you live.

Standard vs Ultimate

• Both are the full game. Ultimate is extras only.
• Ultimate adds premium vehicles, weapons, outfits and other items tied to Jason and Lucia's story. Rockstar's editions page lists the '95 Grotti Cheetah and the Rideout Customs mod shop among them.
• Ultimate items unlock as you progress through the story, chapter by chapter, not all at once.
• There's no boxed Ultimate Edition. If you buy Standard, you can buy the Ultimate upgrade later from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store.

Pre-order bonus: Vintage Vice City Pack

• Comes with every pre-order, and every purchase made before November 20, 2026, on either edition.
• Includes a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan with a garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.
• Digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+.

Boxed copies have no disc

• The physical box contains a download code, not a disc. You'll download the whole game either way, so you need an internet connection and enough free storage.
• The pre-order pack comes as a code in the box too.

Pre-loading

• Digital pre-orders can pre-load from midnight local time on November 12, 2026, a week before launch.
• Pre-load early so launch day isn't spent watching a download bar.

Which should you get?

• If you want the story and the open world, Standard has all of it.
• Ultimate is extras only, and you can upgrade later, so there's no need to decide before launch.
• Buy or pre-order before November 20 if you want the Vintage Vice City Pack.

Don't mix it up with

The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection is a collector's box of merchandise sold by the Rockstar Store. It doesn't include the game.
